Bill To Sack Government Employees Tabled in KP Assembly

A bill was tabled in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly seeking to terminate government employees recruited during the caretaker government.

The bill targets recruitments made between January 22, 2023, and February 29, 2024. However, exceptions are outlined for hires made through the Son Quota, Minority Quota, and through the KP Public Service Commission.
A seven-member committee headed by the Secretary Establishment will be formed to remove the obstacles in the process of terminate employees.

Moreover, all relevant institutions are required to submit a report within 30 days regarding recruitments made during the caretaker government. The decision of the committee regarding the employees will be final.

The bill is primarily aimed aims to outlaw caretaker period recruitment.
