Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has announced that the land has been allocated in the industrial zones across the country for returning industrialists, investors and businessmen.
While speaking at the conference titled “Invitation to Investment in Afghanistan” in Kabul, Baradar unveiled a special package of incentives and facilities designed to attract industrialists, investors and businessmen returning back to homeland.
The package includes not only land distribution in various regions but also a range of financial and operational benefits.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs underscored that the law for the establishment of industrial zones and the procedure for granting incentives to returning industrialists and businessmen has been approved. “This legislation is aimed to promote Afghanistan’s industrial sector, strengthening the national economy and attracting private investment,” he added.
Baradar further highlighted the specific benefits under the new Industrial Zone law, which includes a five-year tax exemption, tax relief on employee wages and exemption of customs duty on all types of imported machinery and equipment. Additionally, foreign technical workers and engineers will get two-year free visa under the law.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the aim of the Islamic Emirates is to encourage both Afghan industrialists and investors at home or abroad to focus their investment on Afghanistan. He also directed all government institutions to prioritize the purchase of domestic goods and products.
Cabinet members of the Islamic Emirate, ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, domestic businessmen, investors and private sector officials also participated in the conference.
