Pakistan has successfully launched its first indigenously developed electro-optical satellite, marking a significant milestone in the country’s space exploration efforts.
The satellite launch ceremony took place at Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) Complex, Karachi.
Dr. Ali Kamran, Member of Space Technology SUPARCO, was the chief guest at the event.
SUPARCO experts highlighted that this satellite will play a crucial role in advancing the country’s self-reliance and technical expertise in space technology.
Indigenously developed satellite is expected to provide valuable support in sectors such as agriculture, farming, irrigation, and crop production forecasting.
Its electro-optical capabilities will also be instrumental in monitoring natural resources, managing disasters, and aiding urban planning and agricultural development.
A video documenting the satellite’s preparation and its successful launch was shown during the ceremony, inspiring the crowd to chant “Takbeer” in celebration of the achievement.
