The Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan has firmly denied recent news reports about a national budget deficit, stating that government employees’ salaries are being paid on time without any delay.

It should be noted that various media outlets had claimed that the ministry is facing a budget shortfall and unable to pay the salaries of government employees for the last three months of the year.

In response, the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan released a statement rejecting these reports as false.

“All regular and development expenditures are being disbursed as planned without any disruption,” the ministry asserted.

It has been further noted through statement that the ministry is currently implementing the order of Amirul Mumineen to pay three years of pension to retired civil servants.
