The Society of Aircraft Engineers (SAEP), of the Pakistan International Airlines, in a letter to the board of directors of PIA has leveled allegations of corruption and kickbacks against former CEO of national carrier, Amir Hayat in aircrafts leasing deals.
In a letter to PIA’s board of directors, it was stated that two aircraft remained stranded in Indonesia for 26 months due to lease issues.
The letter further alleged former CEO, PIA of allegedly misleads the caretaker advisor aviation and the secretary aviation by adding the said aircrafts to the fleet by telling those as new during the caretaker regime.
It was stated in the letter that millions of dollars were also paid for the leasing of the third Airbus 320 aircraft parked in Karachi.
Abdullah Jadoon, President SAEP has attached photographic evidence of aircrafts and a link of PIA’s official YouTube channel to substantiate the claims.

In a letter to Board of Directors of PIA, the SAEP has called for thorough investigation in to alleged kickbacks and corruption in aircraft leasing deals.
The SAEP claimed that an investigation against former CEO, PIA, Aamir Hayat would reveal the alleged embezzlement of billions of rupees.
