Two different buses crashed with oil tanker and truck, resulted 52 people, including women and children killed and 65 injured on the Kabul-Kandhar highway in Ghazni province.
The Taliban officials confirmed on Thursday two separate fatal bus accidents occurred on same highway in central Afghanistan late Wednesday.
According to the officials, the first accident occurred near Shehbaz village in central Ghazni province when an ill-fated passenger bus collided with a fuel tanker, while in another accident bus collided with a truck in eastern Andard district.
Hafiz Omer, the spokesman of the governor of Ghazni province, said that 50 people were killed in both accidents.
He further informed that the injured have been taken to hospitals in Ghazni and the bodies are being handed over to their families, while the seriously injured have been shifted to Kabul.
The provincial head of information and culture, Hameedullah Nisar, reported the incidents on social media, while the spokesperson of the government Zabihullah Mujahid has confirmed the deaths and injuries in the accidents.
