Negligence in Anti-Polio Campaign, action taken against 31 officers

The Sindh Local Government Board has suspended 7 town municipal commissioners and 3 directors of the Town Municipal Corporation in Karachi.

The action follows reports of absence and negligence of duty during the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the city.

According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Local Government Board, the suspension was initiated based on a report from the Commissioner of Karachi Division.

The suspended officers include 6 municipal commissioners of grade 18 and one municipal commissioner of grade 17.

Suspended officers include Town Municipal Commissioners Landhi, Malir, Shah Faisal, Ibrahim Hydari, Orangi, Manghopir and town Municipal Commissioner Gadap.

Additionally, three directors of the Town Municipal Corporation include Sharif Shaikh of Gadap town, Ahad Shaikh, Ibrahim Haidari and Adnan Memon, Director Towm Municipal Corporation Malir have also been placed under suspension.

The notification emphasized that these suspensions are effective immediately and will remain in place until further orders.
